Offence Database: Sources and Coverage

Current-law audit: 97 regulations, reference checks and historical warnings →

This database brings together 26 court schedules and 19 additional statutory references, including driver and owner offences under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. Source records keep the exact allegations and zone versions. The public directory groups matching ordinary and community safety zone versions, and combines the intersection stop-sign allegations into one result. Downloads retain all source rows.

The current directory also includes 38 Part II parking entries from three further court schedules and six directly checked statutory references. Part II schedule index ↗

What Is Included?

A separate editorial statutory reference for stunt driving links HTA section 172(1) with Ontario Regulation 455/07, section 3. It is distinct from the imported racing rows and is not presented as official court short-form wording.

  • Every row from the 25 imported court schedules.
  • 76 revoked rows retained in the source audit, excluded from public search.
  • Exact offence wording, provisions, source item numbers and listed set fines.
  • Links to the nine full offence articles where their scope matches.

This is not a claim to cover every offence that may exist under the current Act and all regulations. Some offences have no set fine, and court schedules can contain older statutory references.

How Are Points Shown?

Driver demerit points are distinct from CVOR conviction points. CVOR coverage and verification status →. 338 selected commercial references have separate, currently unverified CVOR fields.

Matched general values

There are 256 entries with a matching general point value. Matching uses the provision in the regulation, not just a similar offence name. The 56 source point values also match the recovered table.

Unassigned does not mean zero

  • Speeding points depend on the speed and circumstances.
  • Owner and non-driver allegations need separate treatment.
  • An unmatched provision remains unassigned.
  • Repeat device convictions, licence class, suspensions and related offences can change the result.

A provision match is not an individual legal assessment. Full legal review remains pending.

What Do the Amounts Mean?

A fixed set fine is taken from the court schedule. A standard notice total is calculated from that fine, the surcharge table and $5 service costs. Extra costs or a court sentence may differ.

  • 1,159 records have fixed set fines and calculated standard totals.
  • No-set-fine entries keep blank amounts.
  • Variable formulas remain formulas rather than invented fixed totals.
  • The 160 existing speeding-table amounts were checked against the official rates and surcharge table.

What Still Needs Review?

Source import checks confirm that rows and amounts were captured. They do not confirm that every underlying provision remains in force. Additional statutory penalties and insurance classifications have not been inferred.

The court says original signed orders are authoritative. The July 1, 2026 Schedule 43 order was checked against its changed item 80. The remaining original orders still need individual reconciliation.

Source Coverage
